ANTIQUE T.G. & F. BOOTH DRESDEN PATTERN 1883-87 BLUE on WHITE PLATTER. Ships USPS Priority Mail well wrapped and insured.
Gorgeous, large, blue on white Dresden Pattern platter.
About 16” x 11-1/2”
Clean crisp blue floral design on white ironstone. This platter was produced between 1883 and 1887 when Thomas Gimbert and Fred Booth were in partnership. The backstamp indicated it was made 8 June, and is marked Dresden Pattern. Two impressed inspection marks.
No chips or cracks. There is a noted crazing line on the inside corner which does not appear to be a crack. Photos provided.
No other crazing noted. Back is generally clean with minor yellow spots and a tiny dark clay bump under the clear glaze, also shown. For a piece over 140 years old it is remarkable and a wonderful addition to any collection or for use.
