Booths, Made In England, Silicaon China Serving Platter, Vintage 20 -30’s.
Made in north Saffordshire, England.
White with rolled edge accented with royal blue band.
Silicaon China was produced by Booths between 1891 - 1948, such the estimated circa date of ‘30’ - 40’s.
This piece of stoneware takes longer in the kiln , such, it is not porous once it’s completely hardened. This makes it a good choice for bakeware, dishware, and items that will be used or washed frequently. The piece is thick and a bit heavy ( about 3 lbs.).
Measurements: 15” long, 12” wide, 1” deep.
Condition : Good for age and use. No chips or Cracks. Blue border shows little to no wear. Slight stains in middle of platter ( see pictures), crazing noted on both sides. Wear on one edge along side of rim ( see photo’s for closeup), very Light scratches on surface ( probably due to usage).
