Three ( 3 ) piece Ironstone Green Transfer-ware Covered Tureen Set features Beautifully moulded Cross-elements to form Handles on Tureen Lid & Base.
Moulding is further carried to Handles of the Underliner Tray but are flattened.
Time-consuming cutting and application of Transfer is evident on all Handles, Lid top surface & edge, along the widest Circumference of Base, at the Tureen Opening upper edge, along the Tureen Interior edge & bottom, at the Base Pedestal edge, and nearly the whole Underliner Tray surface.
This process becomes Time-consuming when it is necessary to Cut-to-fit the Pattern and maintain some continuity of it's intended design.
While Tureen Lid & Base have no Manufacturer's Trademark, the Tureen Underliner Tray exhibits both an Impressed Manufacturer's Initials ( "T. G. B.") and the ware-type - "Ironstone" as well as an Underglaze Transfer printed Pattern name of "Chain" and Small Initials of  "T. G. B." within a Green Diamond-shape Trademark, which repeats the basic Transfer design utilized on the Set, above the Impressed information.
