This 68" tall display globe features a whopping, 40" diameter ball onto which the technologically advanced DUORAMA map has been seamlessly hand applied. The superb map reveals the earth's true physical nature. Employing masterful coloring and shading techniques, the experienced cartographers have rendered what appears to be a three-dimensional portrait of our planet. The map's astonishing shaded relief reveals an uneven ocean floor where seamounts, fractures and other undersea features can be witnessed in eye-popping detail. Vegetative cover is artfully rendered on the landmasses where the earth's mountainous nature comes alive. Thousands of place names and geographic features cover the sphere in astounding detail. Supporting the enormous sphere is a superbly designed, brushed stainless steel stand, comprised of two gently arching upright bars anchored in a handsome, disc-shaped base.
