It is the Owners Opinion here at Tools Plus (Eric Savelle) that using a optional Generator Mounting Pad is not all its cracked up to be. For instance, they are somewhat slippery so the Generator could potentially "walk" on the pad. And each Generac Air Cooled Standby comes already on its own built in "Direct to Dirt" Mounting Base along with Trim Panels for aesthetics, requiring no additional padding. But if your town requires a pad you could buy one locally or make 1 using pressure treated 2x's to build a rectangular boundary that you could then fill with pea stone or other pretty stone. Or the same boundary, then pour in cement 'Pad' and then pull off the 2x boundary to expose the cement sides. Up to you. As to the battery. Batteries are not special (just mention Group 26R) and they can be purchased from your local Auto Parts store.

When you put in a return request, Tools Plus will provide you with a Return Merchandise Authorization. Items past the 30-Day return window that have defects due to faulty materials or workmanship and are within the manufacturer’s warranty coverage (please see your owner’s manual for specifics) can be sent to the manufacturer’s service center directly.
You will receive a full refund of the purchase amount after we receive the item back at our warehouse and the return has been processed, provided that the item has not been used, opened, repackaged, missing pieces or defaced. If the item does not return to us in its original condition we shipped it in, you may subject to a partial refund instead of a full refund.
