Offered today is one white bone china Original Butter Bell crock from L. Tremain.   This butter bell features a raised floral vine and the words "Beurre."  The Butter Bell crock is the
chef's choice for serving and storing butter without refrigeration.  The top of the Butter Bell crock becomes a serving container for your butter and you can rest your butter knife on its ledge.
Instructions for use:
• Allow one 1/2 cup butter stick to soften.   Pack butter stick firmly into the cup of the lid.
• Fill 1/4 of the bottom cup with cold water.  Make sure the water is high enough to create a seal when the lid is replaced.
• Replace lid and storage is complete.
The butter can remain fresh on your counter for up to 30 days; no refrigeration necessary.
To maintain freshness longer, replace the water every 3 days.
Keep the Butter Bell crock out of direct sunlight and away from the stove and other hot areas.
