    Description

    Frame type is that of the 1922 Cathedral issue. Illustrated in Maxwell. In Scott, an illustration of this frame type (which was used for the 1922-29 printings both rotary and flat) can be found above scott #580 and #583 (illustrating cathedral issue overprinted) and also above scott #629. Otherwise the frame is not illustrated. Maxwell notes a 15c brown (Max 514) rotary press of 1924-1929 however the 15c deep violet with this frame is not listed in scott or in Maxwell.
