    Description

This is a mixture of Nicaraguan stamps off paper. The weight of the stamps is over 8 ounces (1/2 pound). It covers quite a range of years, starting in the late 1800s, including stamps from almost every decade from the late 1800s through the 1980s. It is kiloware, so there will be quite a lot of duplication. However, the variety is quite good for a single-country mixture.
In addition to the over 8 ounces of stamps shown in the first several photos, there are also some relatively high values of official mail stamps from the late 1800s that are in a separate glassine envelope. The official mail stamps in the glassine envelope are mint but most of them have disturbed gum and some have flaws. The front sides of the stamps can be seen in the photos, in addition to photos of the back and front of the bottom two rows (highest face values and probably highest catalog values). That's all that would fit (maximum of 12 photos), plus the photos of many of the rest of the stamps in the mixture.
This would be a nice lot for someone who wants to either start collecting Nicaraguan and/or Latin American stamps. It would also be nice for a general world collector who hasn't filled many spaces in the Nicaragua section of a world stamp album yet. Many of the used stamps appear to be postally used, although there are several, especially from the 1980s, that are CTOs. Again, while there are some MNH stamps, many of the mint stamps have disturbed gum, including a number that are quite heavily-hinged. You could fill a lot of spaces in an album, including some of the rather hard-to-find somewhat expensive mint official mail stamps from the late 1800s,choose the highest quality stamps from the issues that have duplication in the lot, and still have a number of very nice stamps to trade or to examine for different varieties.
I hope that I can help you enjoy stamp collecting as much as I have enjoyed it. Thank you for your interest in my stamps for sale.
