Miniature
Thanks Badge
.  Measuring 3/8", quite small, It is 10K Gold filled and absolutely gorgeous! You can see that it not actually a "badge," but a pin. Thanks Badges are used to honor Scouts whose service has been significantly above and beyond the call of duty. Full-sized (1 inch) Thanks Badges first started being made in 1916, and the miniature Thanks Badge was introduced in 1972.  It looks exactly like the full sized Thanks Badge except smaller and it is meant to be worn by men in uniform, and also women out of uniform.
These cannot be purchased, they must be awarded with approval by National headquarters, so they are extremely difficult to come by.  This would be an absolutely amazing gift for that special Girl Scout in your life!
