Description
Here's a pretty candlestick or candleholder which was made by the Fostoria Glass Company of Moundsville, West Virginia. The etched decoration is Fostoria's 'Vernon' Pettern (Plate Etching No. 277), which was introduced in 1927, and was only produced in this light purple/lavender color, which Fostoria called 'Orchid', until 1928 (Vernon continued to be etched on glassware of other colors until 1930). The blank for this is shown in the old Fostoria catalog as the2375 -- 3 in. Candlestick
.
The candlestick is about 3-1/4" tall at the top of the cup, and the foot is just under 4-3/4" in diameter. It's in nice shape with no damage. I've got way too much glassware in my life and can't keep myself from constantly buying more, so these need a new home.
