VTG 1984 National Geographic 16" Diameter Globe on 17" Tall Black Lucite Stand

Vintage 1984 National Geographic 16" Diameter Globe on a 17" Tall 2 Piece Black Lucite Floor Stand.
This globe is impressive and looks mid-century modern!
The globe measures 16” in diameter and the stand is over 17” tall with a sturdy base and a long rod to hold the globe firmly.
Together, it is about 3 feet tall.
This globe is dated 1984 and includes a plastic transparent attachment for a geometer, azimuth ring and time zone ring.
The globe is in terrific condition with some wear from handling, a couple of scuff marks, and there is a puncture in the globe near Antarctica.
It seems as if there was clear tape around the equator which is missing, leaving residue and allowing the globe to slightly separate if handled roughly.
