  • Condition: Overall Good Vintage Condition. The globes are colorful, but I suspect there is some fading and surface discoloration from age. The background would have been a brighter white when new. There are some surface scratches and a few tarnished spots to the brass which may buff out with metal cleaner. Photos were taken indoors and outside to best show the color and any defects I've observed - please see all photos.

    Description

    This is a pair of vintage spinning Papier/Paper-Mache Globe bookends on brass stands. The Globes were made by Replogle in the USA and Brass stands are marked Taiwan.
    Please see the condition noted above.
    Purchased at an estate sale but I believe these were made in the 1970s.
    They have a nice vintage (and 'as found') look but would have been whiter and colors more vivid when new.
    I've not tried to clean them.
    The brass needs to be polished.
    Brass stand is 6" H, 4 1/2" W and 3" Deep. Measures with Globe are 8" H, 5 1/2" Wide and 5" Deep. Total Weight is 3.8 lbs.  I've added a large flat rate shipping option if helpful.
